This step will increase his passion for you and you will be at an advantageous position. If he texts you or sends you an email, read it and reply it in a normal way. The content should not be very friendly no matter how much ecstatic you are. Never add a “miss you” or “love you” tag with the mail as this will give him a big hint of what is going on in your mind. And, this can be risky for you.
