How to Choose the Perfect Date Movie

Going for dinner and then for a movie has long been a favorite date activity. However, choosing a date movie can be a tricky thing, as picking an inappropriate one can spoil the mood and the date. So be careful while choosing a date movie and have a great time in the company of your partner or date.

There are a few considerations on which the selection depends. They are:

• First date – Never go for a very serious, passionate or action filled movie on your first date. Stick to romantic comedies which are light and enjoyable. Women are bound to like them and men will feel flattered at having made the right choice. Additionally, the movie will also give you an opportunity to talk about it while walking back home.
• Going out with your partner – If you are going for a movie date with your partner, then make sure you know what kind of movies they like. If they enjoy watching action movies, select a movie with a lot of blood and fire! If they enjoy silly comedies, see which comedy flick you can go for. While you take someone out on a date, it is important for you to keep your their preferences in mind.
• Giving a hint – If you are trying to drop a hint on the date, you can select a movie accordingly. For instance, if you want to get intimate with your date, take them to watch a movie with sex scenes. If you are planning to ask them to marry you soon, take them to a movie which deals with the same subject. This is a very subtle, yet effective way of dropping hints.
• Do not go for a horror film – This is something you must remember – never choose a horror film as a date movie! No one likes it when chills run up their spines and they are left screaming and shouting, and specially so when they are on a date, trying to put their best foot forward!
• Budget – While choosing a date movie, keep the budget in mind. If you have already spent a hefty amount on dinner, do not spend much on the movie by going for the latest blockbuster. Rather, choose an old classic running at the neighborhood movie theatre. Having each other for company is more than enough and you can still have a great time watching Pretty Woman together.

Before choosing a date movie, remember to asses the situation and then make a choice. How well you know your date, what you want them to think of you and what impression you’ll leave on them can sometimes depend on the movie you take them for. So be careful and score a lot of points!
