A Deck of Love Letters: A Memory of a Lifetime

To receive love letters, to know that someone somewhere cares for you, to know that someone wants to be with you for the rest of his life is always a special feeling. Every girl cherishes the first love letter ever written to her, and even if the writer of that letter does not become the man to whom she pledges her life to, that letter subsequently still remains a symbol of her girlhood, and it is cherished throughout her lifetime.

Likewise, there me have been many subsequent letters, written later by other admirers, and of course the letters written by that special person who has captured your heart forever; all of them form a deck of letters which become the bearer of a lifetime of memories. They are then usually hidden in an empty pillow case and then hidden under the stack of old clothes in the highest rack of the cupboard, to avoid detection from prying eyes.

They are then brought out at special nights to be read in the complete privacy of one’s room, with curtains drawn and lights dimmed. Your mind flows back to the days when you were younger, with not much care in the world, with only the love of your beloved to make you happy, and you start looking for ways to bring the same magic back into your lives.

If love letters are so cherished in such a fervent manner, they also become an object to be gifted to your partner all over again. Often they are preserved carefully, but there existence is forgotten once the responsibilities of a demanding domestic life and busy professional life force more attention out of you.

In such cases, take out those letters, tie them together in a perfect deck, and give them to her all over again with a bunch of her favorite flowers. This will not only revive the magic in your relationship all over again, but will take you back to the days when you first met, bringing all the memories rushing over to remind how much you loved each other.
