• Tenth Anniversary: TIN or ALUMINIUM which indicates the malleability of a good relationship. The contemporary theme is however DIAMOND.
• Fifteenth Anniversary: CRYSTAL is the traditional theme whereas WATCH is the modern theme.
• Twentieth Anniversary: The traditional theme is CHINA whereas the contemporary theme is PLATINUM
• Twenty-fifth Anniversary: SILVER is the predominant theme for this occasion.
• Fiftieth Anniversary: GOLD is the theme for this occasion.
• Seventy fifth Anniversary: Diamonds are the flavour of this season

Earlier the anniversary celebration included a short trip to a nearby tourist place or a resort. However these days, it is the children who organise a trip for their parents or they prefer to throw a surprise party for them.
